If being connected to the earth and farming was a genetic trait there would be no doubt I have all the genes.  There is nothing I like more then to end my day with dirty feet, hands, and face.  I like even more at my age seeing the designs the dirt makes filling in the swirls of wrinkles around my knuckles and on my fingers.  After I get my fill of the soil, I turn to the love of my kitchen, where I get to enjoy the harvest in so many ways.  Filling my freezer and shelves with food for the winter; then in January enjoying the taste of summer in the tomato sauce, roasted red peppers or pickles.  So this blog is just my way of sharing what I know, have learned, and enjoy with anyone who wishes to read it.  If you like it, I would love comments and new ideas.
